Regular Visits - Cleaning

Oral exams play an important part in preventive dental care. During your visit, our hygienists will clean and floss your teeth, and screen for oral cancer, gum disease and bone loss. We evaluate your risk for tooth decay and discuss proper brushing and flossing techniques to ensure you maintain optimal dental health.

A crown is a tooth-shaped cap used to completely cover a tooth when its ongoing health is at risk. We create the crown in our office using a digital chairside impressioning system. This system allows us to match the exact shape and size of your existing tooth. In most cases, we can complete the entire procedure in just one appointment.

We are equipped with DEXIS digital x-rays, which create crisp, clear images with a significantly low amount of radiation exposure. During oral examinations, x-rays help us find problems in the mouth, including tooth decay, bone damage and injuries. Your dentist will review your x-rays with you and show where treatment may be needed. Using x-rays for early detection of oral issues helps to keep treatment costs low.

Thin plastic coatings (sealants) are used to cover the chewing surfaces of the teeth. In the quick and simple process, we flow sealants into the deep grooves of your molars to protect against the germs and food that cause tooth decay.

A filling is necessary to repair and protect a tooth that has been damaged by decay. During a filling procedure, our dentists remove the decay, clean the infected area and add a filling material to the cleaned out cavity. You have the option to choose between silver-colored (amalgam) fillings or tooth-colored (composite) fillings.

Inlays & Onlays

When a tooth has significant damage and cannot support a filling, an inlay or onlay is used for repair. An inlay restores a large cavity within the center of the tooth. An onlay is used to cover one or more points (cusps) of the tooth. We're proud to offer same-day treatment for both inlays and onlays with our digital chairside impressioning system to match the exact shape and size of your existing tooth.
